Over the past 21 years the makers of Tylenol has awarded several thousand dollars in school assistance scholarships. The Tylenol Scholarship is provided to students entering the healthcare field. The awards for this year are $5,000 and $10,000. 10 applicants this year will receive $10,000 and 30 applicants will receive $5,000. The applications period for Tylenol Scholarship 2011 has closed and the winners will be notified and displayed on the companies Facebook page by August.

Qualifying

In order to qualify for this type of school grant you must be pursuing a career in the health care field, nurses, doctors, technicians and more may be eligible for funds. Other qualifying criteria includes:

• Study at an accredited two or four year college
• One year of undergraduate or graduate study complete
• Scholarships awarded based on: leadership, academic proficiency and community involvement
• Essays may be a featured part of the application process

Class Year Requirement:

• College sophomore
• College junior
• College senior
• Master’s-level study
• Doctoral-level study

Competition for the Tylenol Scholarship is expected to be average and the deadlines for application may vary. Previous years the deadline was May 27th, however this is subject to change. Keep in mind that these funds can be used for any accredited college in the United States, unlike many grants and scholarships available only for particular schools or states.
Each year thousands of dollars in scholarship funds remain unclaimed, simply because most students are not aware that they are available. Do not let this happen to you! Exhaust all possible sources of financial assistance each year you are in college, getting a quality education might actually be cheaper than you imagined.
